*SPOILERS*
Okay, so the monster intimidates the old man for a little while, and then sends bugs in to mess with his food, but what in the hell exactly happened that got him killed? And why did the police say he was straved to death?

Turns out the son was not taking care of the father and he starved to death because the son would not get him food. The "moster" was most likey a demon messing with reality or jsut a figment of the fathers imagination.

Alot of these episodes had alot of elderly abuse in it. This one especially bothered me as I am taking care of my father.

the troll or monster told the old man trick or treat and the old man didn't give treats to the monster, so there's the trick, which was making the night longer, remember that when police asked the son, they told him that the old man was dead for about a week and we know the other night son told to his dad I will be here tomorrow after work or something like that

The fact that his watch was stepped on and broken indicates that "time stopped" and the old man was trapped in that night for the week that it took him to starve to death (when he fell, he probably broke something and couldn't get up). Meanwhile in "real time" only a few hours have passed.
