I don't know about you guys.....but as a little kid watching this show back then, the theme song and the opening credits was the scariest thing I had ever seen/heard. After that, I'd have nightmares of the woods or remote countryside places, LOL. I cant really pinpoint exactly why that song has such an effect on people.....

I remember the first time i saw TFTD, was the first night in my new room--my new room in my new house in the country! the scenes in the opening sequence looked as if they were filmed right outside my bedroom window. I was hooked! I'd wait up every night to watch the show and Friday The 13th: The Series which came on right after.

:oThat was how I remember the line up, fiday the 13th then darkside and of all nights...SUNDAY!!! Church in the morning, Hell in a box at night! I was 4 yrs old watching this crap! my mom was cool enough to allow me to see it! I loved horror as a kid I wont say some things dont creep me out but the thing is that its like drug addiction...I LOVE BEING SCARED THE CRAP OF!!! John Carpenter once offered the idea of trying watching halloween with the sound off and see what the effect is, its really actually a different kind of spooky, but this proves that the music in itself is somewhat of a character in the movie, but I remember nothing that ever flipped me out more than that damn theme song!!! this themesong was actually my beginning of musical appreciation. It's simple but serious. (((Also if it intrests any one:...Im not sure if this was intended to be on the opening, but when I was a kid I "noticed" things that some others did'nt... my mom was clueless.... but if you watch very closley during the opening of the show, the part where the forest scrolls by, pay attention to the upper center of the screen and relax your eyes , you can see a ghostly image of an old womans face float by very slowly!!!))) again it may have been there on purpose but its barely visable . It occurs when the guy says : "things unseen" or something like that, making me think it maybe intended! but intresying to watch for. If anybody has any comments on it or if you see it contact by e-mail at I_am_the_walrus_2512012519@yahoo.com
